Squeamish SullivanSqueamish Sullivan has strange ambitions and abilities. Why did he have to trust me with his secret? Squeamish is as you might have guessed a nickname. However that does not necessarily suggest that Mr. Sullivan was in any way shape or form the least bit squeamish. Those who earn their daily bread working at jobs that are dangerous and often woefully disgusting in nature cannot afford the luxury of being the least bit squeamish. How then did Mr. Sullivan get this appellation? It was dead simple if you happened to be aware of the community in which he grew up. Squamish is a small town at the foot of Howe Sound on the British Columbia coast. Now here is the deal. Your assignment, if you choose to accept it, is to continue the story of Squeamish Sullivan. I think we all owe him that much. I will be so kind as to provide you with details of Mr. Sullivan's youthful days and give you some hints as to what happened to him before he disappeared. Mr. Sullivan arrived in town as an eight-year-old. He was an average lad, a little quiet although very smart in school. There was one aspect of his intelligence that was remarkable. He was extremely good at languages. That of course is why he succeeded as foreign agent or so we were led to believe. Squeamish stuck around until he graduated from UBC where he majored in International Studies. Shortly thereafter he seemed to fall off the radar screen. Rumour has it that he was working for the CIA. Periodically, he would drop in on his old friends who never quite made it out of town but were content to drive logging trucks for a living or work at Wood Fibre the local pulp mill until it closed due to economic conditions we were told. {Over to you} Here are the rules. 1. Continue the story. You are free to back track and make changes to the first five paragraphs should you wish to do so. .2. There are ninety-two words and phrases in the glossary. Use ten words in addition to the bolded words which must be incorporated into your story. 3. The best three stories will be published on this site.
